If you take the visit of the Museum of Contemporary Art (Kunstmuseum Gegenwart) or the Museum of Paper (Papiermühle), which are nearby, if you want to enjoy the calm of the St. Alban district, make a stop at the hostel. Both ancient and modern in Basel, the hostel is a great demonstration. Lunch or dinner includes a salad buffet or broth, a dish and dessert, as in the canteen. The room is modern and very pleasant, provided you appreciate international brewing and the tumult of youth hostels. Prevent your arrival in order to keep a plate, especially the weekend where dishes are prepared only on order!

I would suggest it will be great place for short stay. Morning breakfast is good. The main concern is you will not find and restaurants or supermarket near by. Apart from that everything is good and highly recommended

Le restaurant est accessible aux personnes extérieures, pour 19,50 CHF le menu est conséquent ( entre plat dessert), cadre calme pour se restaurer

Clean, excellent location, the service was very polite, breakfast really good, the value you get for the money is great. Also I received Basel card for my stay here ( free public transport, 50% discounts to museums, cruises), great package to explore Basel.
