If you take the visit of the Museum of Contemporary Art (Kunstmuseum Gegenwart) or the Museum of Paper (Papiermühle), which are nearby, if you want to enjoy the calm of the St. Alban district, make a stop at the hostel. Both ancient and modern in Basel, the hostel is a great demonstration. Lunch or dinner includes a salad buffet or broth, a dish and dessert, as in the canteen. The room is modern and very pleasant, provided you appreciate international brewing and the tumult of youth hostels. Prevent your arrival in order to keep a plate, especially the weekend where dishes are prepared only on order!

The building is situated in a beautiful part of Basel close to the river, a really lovely spot, St Alban's church is nearby too. I really recommend this hostel, the best decision for a wonderful stay in Basel.
