GELERSEN-GERERSEN FORTRESS

The Forteresse-Gerersen fortress can be the subject of a 8 km round trip from Kish. The trail is relatively easy, apart from the last ten metres, rather abrupt. However, we must avoid going hiking after rainy days: the crossing of the Kish River can become impossible if the water level rises too much.

The building was built in the th century by Alidjan, Khan's khan. The fortress is now in ruins, but its name has remained. It offers a splendid panorama of the surrounding valleys and summits, often the, even at the end of spring.
