Mehmet Masjid, whose minaret built in 1079 always rises above the surrounding roofs. It is surrounded by inscriptions from the Koran, in coufique writing. The mosque surprises by its tiny size: The prayer room can only welcome a handful of worshippers, and the minaret is so narrow that its inner staircase is hardly practicable for the muezzin.
