SADDRIDIN AINI MUSEUM
The house of the poet Sadriddin Aïni (1878-1954) dates back to 1937. Now a museum, it provides an insight into the work and daily life of the man of letters who became President of Tajikistan (still highly honored in that country). He is notably the author of the novel The Slaves of Bukhara, a masterpiece which, like his other novels, has yet to be translated into French. In addition to domestic furnishings and period souvenirs, the exhibition features numerous photographs and reproductions of his poems. Very inspiring.
