MONE CAFE & BAKERY

This address is frequented by European tourists who mingle with locals. Mone takes its cue from French-style tea rooms. The place is very pleasant. Three other addresses in the modern parts of town. You can also drink cardamom coffee or traditional green tea. The pastries are lovely to look at, and a real effort has been made to reduce the amount of sugar in the mouth. Some are quite original (especially the pear, superbly set on a cookie base!). Ice creams and waffles are available à la carte. Lunch is also available.
