MARES DE KOUMANA ET BALATO

A few dozen ponds are the subject of festivals in the region. Among these, there are two main ones after the Baro festival: that of Koumana, which takes place in the Nantamba pond at the confluence of the Milo and Niger rivers on the right bank of the latter, and that of Balato located on the road to Siguiri on the left bank. It takes place in the Woigbe pond, located 2 km south of Balato. It is possible to attend the three festivals that take place a few days apart.
