It is the most southern island of the archipelago. We disembark on the beaches of the northern side where the pirogues are stored. Once on land, you will find small maquis where you can eat fish, drink a soda or a glass of bandji (palm wine). On the south side, you will find the Governor's beach, which is free of charge (no private beach in Guinea). However, you will have to give something to the young people so that they can give you a shady spot where you can put your things and they will watch over you. Some of them will offer you straw huts to rent. There is also the one at the Sogué hotel. These two beaches are more exposed than on the other side and the sea is more agitated with waves and currents that you have to watch out for (especially depending on the tide). Ask for information. They are also sunnier.
