Graves and vaults have been planted here for several generations. The first to be buried here were the fishermen and Polish soldiers who, in 1939, sacrificed themselves in battle to defend the peninsula. There's nothing exceptional about this cemetery, but if you're visiting on All Saints' Day, it's worth taking a look. In Poland, it's customary to place candles on graves to celebrate the dead during this holiday. The country's cemeteries light up at dusk.
