BASILICA NOTRE-DAME DE LICHEŃ

The Licheń sanctuary is the site of an apparition of the Virgin Mary in 1850 in the Grąblin forest. Construction of the basilica, on the other hand, is more recent, having been completed only in 2004, after ten years of work. Every year, millions of pilgrims come here to venerate the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Licheń, Poland's Queen of Sorrows. The Basilica of Our Lady of Licheń is Poland's largest church by area.
