Located in Parc Wilson, on the other side of the station, this giant greenhouse, comprising 8 pavilions covering some 3,700 m², has been housing an exceptional collection of tropical plants since the early 19th century, one of the largest in Europe (17,000 different species). A large aquarium, founded in 1922 (Poland's first public aquarium), has also been installed. It still boasts 37 tanks with 170 species of fish from all over the world and 40 species of aquatic plants. Last but not least, you'll find a friendly café, with a tropical atmosphere that's much appreciated in winter.

The site of the mighty fortress(cytadela), built by the Prussians in the 1830s. A terrible battle was fought here between the Germans and Soviets in 1945. Today, only a few remnants remain, where a military museum(Muzeum Uzbrojenia, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Mondays) has been set up, with a large collection of weapons and an exhibition of tanks and military vehicles. The park is magnificent and crowded with visitors in all seasons.
