TOURIST TRAIN

During the First World War, the Germans built a railroad to exploit the forest's timber and fuel the war effort. Still in operation until the end of the 1980s, this railroad is now used for train excursions through the forest, which are a delight for tourists. The Hajnówka-Topiło route is around 12 km long, with stops to explore the forest and its flora. Allow 3 hours round trip. The station is located just outside Hajnówka, in the direction of Białowieża.
