Łódź's massive cathedral is the city's tallest building (the spire of its tower reaches a height of over 100 m) and one of the highest churches in Poland. Its neo-Gothic style is deceptive: it gives the illusion of an old building when, in reality, it only rose from the ground in the 1900s. The industrial town of Łódź was completed in 1912. In the course of its short history, the cathedral has already seen one looting (by the Nazis in 1941) and one fire (1971).

Cathédrale de Lodz Saint Stanisława Kostka est le plus haut bâtiment de Łódź et l'un des plus grands temples de Pologne. La conception de l'archcathédrale a été modelée sur la célèbre cathédrale gothique d'Ulm.
Il a été donné un style néo-gothique, et une brique de clinker spéciale avec une couleur jaune a été utilisée pour couvrir la façade. La tour est proche de 104 m, et à l'intérieur pend la cloche "Zygmunt" - cadeau des habitants de Lodz de 1911
