In the park, near the romantic statue of the composer with his hair blowing in the wind, open-air concerts are held in summer. The statue was erected in 1926 to a design by W. Szymanowski. Destroyed by the Germans in 1940, it was rebuilt identically in May 1958. It stands at one of the entrances to the park from Ujazdowskie Avenue, just before the Belvedere. Be sure to see it on your visit to the park, especially on sunny summer days.
