The Holy Week celebrations are the peak of the tourist season throughout the country, it is particularly strong in Comayagua. Processions are organized in the streets of the city, covered with flower and teintes carpets on the cross road. Not to be missed, Rameaux Sunday: the procession of the Lord of the Burrita from 8 a. m., recalling the triumphal entry of Jesus to Jerusalem; you show an icon of Christ nature that you walk in the city, while people wave palm leaves on his passage.
