1877 HOSTEL

1877, like the year in which La Ceiba officially became a municipality. Mario and Julio, the owners, are two Hondurans from San Pedro Sula. He opened the youth hostel in 2015, noting that many international travellers travelled through La Ceiba with their backpack (to go to Utila for the most) and that there was no pleasant and economical place to stay. Clean, safe and comfortable (with big and good mattresses), the hostel is located in the main avenue with all the restaurants (Avenida Morazan), and 3 minutes from the viva by taxi. The hostel has a stylish, colourful style, with paintings from modern local artists. Our heart in La Ceiba!
