PARQUE NACIONAL DE PUNTA IZOPO

At the eastern end of Tela Bay, this 112 km ² park owes its name to Cerro Izopo (Cerro Izopo), hidden against the sea. Exuberant vegetation at the confluence of Ríos Plátano and Hicaque: a real lair for animals (many toucans). Kayak zigzags in canals in the middle of mangroves, allowing an ideal approach to native fauna.

Garifuna Tours is the most appropriate (most comfortable) agency to carry out this excursion, but smaller budgets can win the village of Triunfo de la Cruz and organize a journey with premises.
