NACIONAL PALACE

Declared a national monument in 1974, the National Palace combines neoclassical, neo-Gothic and Renaissance styles. It is an iconic building and an integral part of national history. It is the only building with marble elements. It is adjacent to the metropolitan cathedral, which you can enjoy from some of the rooms (ideal for a nice photo). The large interior patio contains 5 large trees representing the 5 countries of the former Central American Union.
