This astonishing church, built entirely of wood and covered with metal plates, was never completed.
This church, built in 1913, is astonishing: from the outside, you'd never know it was built entirely of wood, and covered with metal plates! In the early 20th century, this type of construction was very fashionable. The wooden structure was then completely hidden. In the case of this basilica, as it has not yet been completed, the entire wooden structure can be appreciated from the inside.

De l'extérieur on ne remarque pas cette originalité mais de l'intérieur on note bien cette charpente très particulière couverte sur la majorité des façades de plaque de fer. (Cela doit favoriser une température assez élevée pendant la période chaude même s'il y a de nombreuses aérations).
