Don't miss to attend the processions of the Holy Week. As in Antigua, Guatemala or Comayagua in Honduras, the occasion is made for coloured sawdust carpets that will be trampled upon by a slow procession during the celebration of Christ's Passion (particularly Good Friday). Walk late in the afternoon in the streets of the city (especially around Sutiava Cathedral) before processions destroy this magnificent artisan work.
