The airport is approximately 13 km east of the Intercontinental. A boarding tax is charged for national flights (US $ 2) and international (US $ 35). The latter is often included in the ticket price: check with the company for purchase. Upon arrival, you will have to pay an entrance fee of US $ 10 per person. There is one bank, Banpro, which changes cash. ATM ATM machines for Visa cards are also present. However, it is not recommended to change currency by arriving at the airport.

To get to town from the airport, two options: the bus or taxi. The bus is unsafe if you are overloaded with luggage, otherwise there is no problem: cross the avenue in front of the airport and wait at the entrance to the Hotel Mercedes. As for taxis, we prefer those waiting outside the airport: they are generally twice as expensive as taxis from the airport. Therefore, take between US $ 15 and US $ 10 to reach your hotel depending on where you go, from time to time (more expensive at night and during peak hours, known as pico hours: from 6 a. m. to 8 p. m., from 12 p. m. to 13 p. m. and from 17 p. m. to 19 p. m., and of course, depending on your Spanish and your ability to negotiate!
