It is a high rock overlooking the city. A staircase of 418 steps leads to the top, but it can also be reached by car via the road around the hill. At the top there is a café with a terrace and a summer restaurant (Fjellstua) under a glass dome. There is a fantastic view of the town, which stretches out over the sea, with dark rocky islets off the coast. Turning inland, you can see a row of ice-capped peaks. There are trails up there that can extend the walk by a few hours.

Très beau mais attention au traffic
Déjà vous n'êtes pas obligés de monter les 418 marches jusqu'au bout car il y a plusieurs points de vue tout au long de l'escalier. Ensuite tout en haut le meilleur point de vue se situe sur la terrasse privee d'un restaurant , ils viennent d'en rendre l'accès payant : 100 couronnes soit 10€. Une alternative est de consommer au café pour accéder à la terrasse. Du coup, beaucoup de groupes de touristes ne payent pas et se retrouvent à essayer de voir quelque-chose et à marcher sur un espace reduit où plein de bus, voitures et même le petit train touristique circulent! Attention aux accidents !

Quand il fait beau, la vue à partir du mont Aksla est vraiment incroyable. Mais avant cela, il faut grimper les 418 marches ! Le chemin a été rénové il y a déjà quelques années et il est maintenant très praticable. en plus, il y a des bancs en cours de montée où vous pouvez vous reposer !
After mounted (painfully?) the 418 steps, you can say that the view is up to espérences... Magnificent views of the fjord, islands and the city which seems to gush out of water...
