Ouadane has several private libraries. You'll discover some superb manuscripts. One of the most interesting is certainly that of Sidi Mohamed Ould Abidin Sidi. He likes to repeat that preserving these treasures comes up against many obstacles, the first of which is himself! So there's no reason to reproach him for only showing manuscripts that are 2 or 3 centuries old: he has the good sense to keep the oldest under wraps, to be shown only to researchers. Who can blame him?
