All along the 140 km going up north and leading from Sélibabi to Kankossa, the landscape is superb. It is a succession of tabular sandstone plateaus, high grasses protecting a lake colonized by water lilies and small palm forests. Be careful where you put your feet, because here Cenchrus biflorus, better known as "cram-cram", is formidable. Do you know it? It is this plant whose seeds cling irresistibly to clothing! If you can, visit Mamadou Sall's garden: he is THE nurseryman of Kankossa, producing between 300 and 400 fruit trees each year.
