Read moreEstablished in the middle of the desert, 30 km north of downtown Nouakchott, the new airport, inaugurated in 2016, is accessible via the N2 linking the capital to Nouadhibou. The arrival hall offers the possibility to change and withdraw (when ATMs are working...) money, rent a car (Europcar), etc. Airline counters serving the destination, duty-free stores and a Képar restaurant make up the departure hall and boarding area.
