Located about 30 km north of Bago, this former artificial reservoir has gradually been transformed into a nature reserve. This place is ideal for bird-watchers. Indeed, 125 species of birds are present here, including 70 migratory birds. The best time to observe them is from November to March, before they return to the northern hemisphere. In Myanmar, there are more and more trekking guides specialized in bird watching and passionate about fauna and flora, who will be able to make you discover the territory with a new eye. Here, you can go for a walk on the lake aboard a small wooden boat with a pointed roof to reach the observatories hoisted on stilts in the middle of the lake. On the other hand, there is little on offer in terms of accommodation on site: only one hotel offers to stay at the water's edge, as close as possible to Lake Moe Yun Gyi. The resort is named after the lake
