Definitively the best place to place has Hsipaw; -)
You will enjoy a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with a lovely staff who will improvise you memorable evenings guitar; -)
Moreover, I promise (one for me to be returned 3 times in the 10 years space) that people from the village will really like to know this guest-house!
They will leave you more, and perhaps the terrible events will tell you avenue...
