BAMBOO HUT HOME COOKING

From the city centre, take the Nyaungshwe road for about six kilometres to reach the pretty Bamboo Hut Home Cooking restaurant. Do not take the first road to Red Mountain, but take the second dirt road on the right. Here we are cut off from everything. Wrapped on either side of a lush environment. We settle down in the hut on stilts from where we watch speechlessly the lake, the mountains, and the vegetable garden below. The house gives Burmese cooking classes! Then comes the fish, perfectly grilled in its banana leaf.
