If you arrive in Yangon by plane, remember to stop at the tiny tourist information counter in the airport lobby. There you will be given a map of the country and maps of the main cities. Once out of the airport, you will have to get closer to hotels or travel agencies. In the city, the government has set up another office right in front of the Independence Monument. But there is absolutely nothing there except the possibility of making hotel reservations.
