Here, meditation is a way of life. One of the largest Vipassana meditation centres, run by monks. Courses are given in English and a minimum of 7 days is required, after that you can stay as long as your visa allows. The centre is quite free, it is possible to speak in quiet time and the food is not vegetarian. A donation of about 55 US$ is appreciated at the beginning, which will cover accommodation and meals for the duration of your stay.
