The excellent Gigibonta ice cream parlour, a community-based project to help reintegrate street children - which has been a resounding success in Lusaka - began operations in Ndola several years ago. It still maintains ice cream and pastry outlets in the sprawling city, in the Jacaranda and Kansenshi shopping centers.
