On the way from the Copperbelt or Lusaka to Lake Bangweulu or to the northern lakes, it is possible to stop in Mansa, the capital of Luapula Province with a population of 130,000. Although Mansa is not known for its tourism, it remains a typical small town and hosts, in October, the traditional Chabuka ceremony of the Ushi people. A good reason to stop there as well as for the beautiful and numerous waterfalls of the region.
