The Museum of the Province of Savannakhet is housed in a former building of the French colonial administration. This modest museum presents archaeological objects, minerals, American and Laotian artillery pieces, traditional handicrafts, and photos telling several periods of the contemporary history of the province and the country. Ce musée sans prétention présente des armes, des instruments de musique, des ustensiles de la vie quotidienne. Une visite qui complète la promenade dans le centre colonial tranquille et nonchalant de cette ville de province bien agréable.
