MUANG SING MUSEUM

Located next to the Vat Xieng Chai, this museum is housed in the former royal palace of Prince Jao Fa, Phanya Sekong. This traditional wooden house, which has an amazing rectangular structure, presents local history and culture through traditional tools, historical and religious objects (upstairs). Interesting traditional costumes of different ethnic groups are also on display. The explanatory panels are in English and Lao. You can watch a film about the Akha ethnic minority (about 35 min).
