In late 2016 Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden opened, after nearly six years of preparation. It is located on the other side of the Mekong River, but the visit includes the round trip by boat from the Luang Prabang office. Due to the difficult times during the years 2020 to 2022, Pha Tad Ke will unfortunately be closed to the public until October 2024. Private tours can be arranged for donors helping to conserve the botanical garden.
