Impossible not to see this gigantic glittering building decorated with gilding, a typical example of modern Laotian architecture, inaugurated in March 2000. Its construction was financed by the Chinese government, which explains the presence of the flag of the People's Republic of China alongside the Laotian national flag. Indoors, cultural events such as exhibitions, dance and theatre performances, political meetings, film premieres... It's not easy to keep up to date with the programme, though.
