The archaeological site of the ruins of Rayboun was excavated by a Soviet team who localisa the remains of a city dating back to the first millennium BC and containing temples and an advanced irrigation system.The village of Al Mashad is located near the archaeological site of Rayboun, 90 km from Seyoun. It contains the tombs under the domes of Hasan ibn Hasan and Ali ibn Hasan and his family. The tomb of Hasan dates back to the th century. The various tombs were restored in the th century.
