Why go à MUNICH?

Munich is undoubtedly one of Germany's most beautiful cities. The ochre facades of the churches and the pastel colors of the stone give it an Italian air. It's a curious mix, this great city that is so Germanic yet so Latin. Here, we like to say that Milan is Germany's southernmost city and Munich is Italy's northernmost. As an industrial, economic and media hub, Munich is the envy of many, and its prosperity annoys many in Germany. But that's just because it's an attractive and engaging city, with its majestic monuments, luxurious boutiques and typical brasseries in the shade of arcades. The powerful Wittelsbach dynasty endowed Munich with magnificent works of architecture in a variety of styles, from Gothic to Baroque, Renaissance to Jugendstil... But Munich is also a boldly modern city, as evidenced by FC Bayern's new stadium.
