The Volksbad, Munich's first public indoor swimming pool, opened in 1901. Inspired by both Roman baths and oriental hammams, its architect Carl Hocheder created an impressive décor mixing baroque and Art Nouveau elements: staircases, murals, stucco and statues, everything is luxury and pleasure. Two pools await you, one for wading, the other for swimming. Several saunas and a small hammam. An enchanting setting to relax and recharge your batteries. Café and restaurant on site.
