The chapas leave the market from 6 am - all morning and sometimes even in the afternoon. They are heading to a large number of regional destinations. North towards Metangula (137 km, 2h, 170 Mtn in combi, 100 in the back of a pick-up truck or a truck). To the west, towards Meponda (30 km, 50 min, 60 Mtn). South, towards Mandimba (150 km, 2h30 to 3h, 170 Mtn) and Cuamba (310 km, 6h30, 350 Mtn). Bring a woollen blanket or why not a sleeping bag if you have to travel in the back of a truck or a pick-up truck.
