The small town of Mucuba is a nodal point of communication in the region, allowing many changes of chapa according to its origin by bus and chapas. First to the north, Nampula (375 km, 7h30), Malawi to the west via Milange (189 km, 3 to 4h), Beira, Chimoio, but also with Gurué (193 km, 4h), Cuamba, and Quelimane (148 km, 2h30). Many travelers, who take chapas for long trips, get off at Mocuba to change direction. Buses and chapas make a stop in the main street. The small town stretches along the national road, which runs from Beira to Nampula. One does not stop here for tourism.
