These are two beautiful white sand beaches located 30 minutes drive northeast of Praia, surrounded by a nature still intact despite the proximity of the capital. The turquoise water and the absence of infrastructures are favourable to relaxation. Almost deserted during the week, they come to life a little on weekends because Cape Verdeans come to relax with their families and to have a barbecue, all the more easily because the road leading to them is excellent. The whole area of São Francisco belonged to the English, but the Cape Verdean state recovered the land and left them just a part to build a hotel.
