CASTLE HALBTURN (SCHLOSS HALBTURN)

Built by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt in the early ^18th century, this Baroque castle was remodeled on the initiative of Empress Maria Theresa and decorated with frescoes by Franz Anton Maulbertsch. Set in a sumptuous park, it hosts a variety of events. In addition, the Keiser family welcomes you to the castle's delightful Knappenstöckl restaurant, with its cellar full of local wines, and to the hotel of the same name. It's even possible to get married at the castle.
