Graz is home to a museum complex that brings together 3 museums, a research center and a library in a magnificent historic building. A discovery to be made in several visits. There's also the bistronomic café-restaurant PEP, open every day of the week from 10am.
Neue Galerie. The city's museum of contemporary art. It presents artistic movements from the early 19th to the late 20th century: Biedermeier, realism, classicism, impressionism, expressionism, abstraction... Over 60,000 works of art are on display (paintings, posters, objects, sculptures, videos, photographs). Inside the Neue Galerie is the Bruseum, a space showcasing the work of Styrian artist Günter Bros, one of the founders of Viennese Actionism.
The Multimediale Sammlungen presents one of Austria's most important audiovisual collections. Here, in a beautiful museography, you'll discover a remarkable collection of over 2 million photos, audio tracks and documentary films. Above all, it is a center for study and research.
The Naturkundemuseum, a natural history museum, presents 400 million years of Styrian history, flora and fauna. A great evolution!
The CoSA - Centre for Scientific Activities - offers exciting research experiments in technology and the natural sciences.
Finally, the library - Steiermärkischen Landesbibliothek - offers an exceptional catalog of books on Styria.
