The largest lake in Carinthia, one of the most beautiful in the region and the highest bathing lake in the Alps, a starting point for many walks.
A place of great charm. Fourth on the list of Carinthia's largest lakes, the Weissensee, which translates as White Lake, is also one of the most beautiful in the region. It is 11.6 km long and is the highest swimming lake in the Alps at 1,300 m above sea level. Its temperature is close to 24°C. It is a beautiful, oversized high altitude lake, but also a very good starting point for numerous alpine walks and hikes.
