CATHEDRAL (DOMKIRCHE SANKT-NIKOLAUS)
Religious building featuring a magnificent pietà (1521) by master builder Wolf Huber and stained glass windows by Martin Häusle.
Mentioned as early as 1287, it has been altered several times and is the largest Gothic building in Vorarlberg. The cathedral features a magnificent pietà (1521) by Feldkirch master Wolf Huber, and stained glass windows by Martin Häusle. The wrought-iron tabernacle is one of the most remarkable in the country.
Near the cathedral stands the prefecture building, which in the 17thcentury housed a Jesuit community, and near the railway station stands a former Capuchin monastery.
