ROHRENDORF BEI KREMS

It climbs the hill of Du (200 to 450 m) and offers numerous hiking trails between vineyards and forest, to the famous Benedictine abbey of Göttweig. It is a beautiful construction of the th century in a privileged natural site. The abbey, founded in the th century, has a strong reputation in the Middle Ages. The current ensemble, due to the architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, remained unfinished. No less admire the church, richly decorated in flamboyant Baroque style.
