Mayerling Castle is a former hunting lodge located in Mayerling, a village in the municipality of Alland, southwest of Vienna, Austria. Today, it is home to a monastery of the Carmelite Order. Il était ici en 1889 le prince héritier seul fils de l' empereur François - Joseph Ier et Sissi, avec son amant agé seulement de 17 ans . La baronne Mary Vetsera est tragiquement morte.
Aujourd'hui Karmel Mayerling est un monastère vivant.transformé en un couvent des Carmélites.
On peut se promener dans le magnifique parc autour du monastere et de son Eglise .
