A former Habsburg pavillon, this place became infamous as a result of the suicide (presumed…) of Crown Prince Rodolphe, son of François-Joseph and De, on 30 January 1889. Starting point of a mystery never elucidated (murder or suicide?), the place is worth displacement. In place of the hunting pavilion, Francis-Joseph erected a church and a carmel so that the nuns pray for the rest of the crown prince's soul. And this requires! The peaceful beauty of the places, steeped in the history of the walls, makes Mayerling a romantic romantic place.
