It would be among the 10 most beautiful public parks in the world. The huge and very popular Prater Park is a landmark in Vienna with its Ferris wheel. At the entrance to the amusement park, it has been standing at a height of almost 65 meters since 1897, when it was erected on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph's reign. While the amusement park is full of fairground stalls and gastronomic stops, the green spaces, alleys and paths offer the Viennese a choice terrain for jogging and cycling.
This giant park stretches between the canal and the Danube, covering more than 1,300 hectares, alternating between meadows, water and forest. Formerly reserved for imperial hunting, property of the emperor since the reign of Maximilian II (16th century), the Prater was for a long time reserved for the nobility and until 1766 when it opened to the public. However, it was not until the development of public transportation at the end of the 19th century that the Prater became a truly popular site.

L'idéal étant de venir le dimanche car les boutiques sont fermées en ville...
Nous avons fait un tour de grande roue, c'est très sympa, en revanche, le tour ne dure pas très longtemps, c'est un peu frustrant...
De fin septembre à mi octobre il y a l’octoberfest (la fête de la bière) où vous pourrez voir de nombreux Viennois en habits traditionnels.
